Zombies have been trending because of the HBO show “The Last of Us”. And a new poll found over half of Americans think they know how to KILL a zombie. 53% say they’d know how, and the other 47% don’t . . . so they’re definitely future zombie candidates! Here are a few more stats from the poll . . .

  • The top “zombie weapons” we’d want to have are:
  • A shotgun . . .
  • A handgun . . .
  • A bat . . .
  • A machete . . .
  • And a crossbow.

2) The average person thinks they could kill 39 zombies per day if they had to.

3) Of everyone you know, who would be the first person bitten?

  • The #1 answer was “MYSELF.”
  • The rest of the top five are “my mom” . . . “my pet” . . . “my grandma” . . . and a “coworker.”

4) Which movies and shows have the most accurate zombies? These five got the most votes:

  • “The Walking Dead”. . . “28 Days Later” . . . “World War Z” . . . “I Am Legend” . . . and “Zombieland”.

5) Which states are the most prepared for a zombie apocalypse? Based on zombie-related Google searches per capita . . .

  • The most prepared states are Wyoming, Alaska, Vermont, and the Dakotas.
  • The least prepared are California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Pennsylvania.
  • So yeah, you definitely DON’T want to be there when all this goes down.
