Deer Season

The weeklong Ohio Deer gun season starts today for all hunters, and runs through Sunday, December 3rd. Of course Bow season is already underway, and runs to February 4th of next year (the state’s deer muzzleloader season runs from January 6th to January 9th, 2024). Last year, hunters harvested more than 96,000 deer, which includes the more than 71,000 deer taken in the weeklong gun season. Coshocton, Muskingum, Tuscarawas, Ashtabula and Knox counties led the state in harvests last year during the weeklong gun season.
