Geddy Lee’s Highest-Charting Single Is NOT a Rush Song

Believe it or not, Geddy Lee’s highest-charting single was NOT with Rush. . . it was with Bob and Doug McKenzie on their song “Take Off”. “Take Off” peaked at #16 on the Billboard 100 singles chart in 1982, which was five spots higher than Rush’s “New World Man”. Geddy says he doesn’t mind this at all. He says he “loves” it. (Check out this recent Geddy interview. He talks about “Take Off” right around 0:40)
