Just Because You CAN . . . Doesn’t Mean You SHOULD!

A new toy is about to hit the market, called the “My Mini Baby Mom & Surprise Doll.” It features a pregnant Barbie-style doll, with a removable stomach, and the stomach contains a very realistic amniotic sac . . . with a tiny plastic baby and slime inside (???). To birth the baby, you remove the doll’s stomach, pull out the sac, and squeeze it until you can push the baby out. You can then flip the doll’s stomach around, so her belly is flat again. (It seems like this would be a one-time activity doesn’t it? (Not a big bang for your buck . . . so to speak.) The doll is supposedly available for preorder in the U.K., but it’s unclear if or when it’ll be available in the U.S. Naturally, the interweb has a LOT of thoughts. One woman says, “Could she share her fitness routine? Those abs after a C-section, Damn!” While another added “Baby Daddy sold separately.” I think I can speak for ALL of us . . . thankfully, the toy company hasn’t released a realistic doll suffering from “Cyclospora”!
