Societal Norms People Are Ditching in 2026

Apparently, people are done doing what’s expected of them, and are ditching what might be considered “Societal Norms”. Here are some that people are saying “No More!” . . .                                                             1) “I no longer eat three meals a day at standard times. Now I just eat when I’m actually hungry, without calling it a specific name.”
2) “We’re not having an expensive wedding. We bought a house instead.”
3) “My husband and I have separate bedrooms, and we have for years. We get the BEST sleep.”
4) “I’ve stopped thinking I can only eat breakfast food for breakfast.” (or as I like to call it . . . “adulting“)
5) “There are lots of online tutorials about folding fitted sheets. I don’t do that. I do not care if my fitted sheet is wrinkled.”
There are a few that I couldn’t agree more with (like the fitted sheets thing). And at this point I ALSO don’t eat meals, at standard times. I run a freelance snacking operation, and my stomach clocks in whenever it feels like it.
