Songs for Your 4th of July Playlist

You know we want to be your 4th of July weekend soundtrack! But we also know, if you’re throwing a party . . . not everybody attending are going to be “classic rock fans” (everybody has the right to be wrong). So maybe you’re looking to building out a 4th of July playlist? The Today Show posted their suggestions of 45 “patriotic songs” for your 4th of July playlist. Songs like Whitney Houston’s “Star-Spangled Banner”“Living in America” by James Brown, “R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.” John Mellencamp, “Born on the Bayou” C.C.R., “America the Beautiful” Ray Charles, “American Pie” Don McLean, “American Girl” Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and “Surfin’ U.S.A.” by the Beach Boys. You check out the rest of the list HERE (there are a few songs on the list that I wouldn’t necessarily call “pro American”).
