St. Patrick’s Day: Here Are the Top Green Foods We’ve Been Googling

Green beer is always popular on St. Patty’s Day. Here’s a list of other stuff that might cause some colorful bathroom experiences tomorrow. Google Trends looked at the top green food each we googled this year. Some are specific to St. Patrick’s Day, and some are just green foods you might eat any time of year.

  1. Lots of Green Drinks:

Green mimosas, Green Jell-O shots, Green whiskey sours, and a couple different “Shamrock Shake” Cocktails

  1. Green Desserts:

Things like shamrock cookies, shamrock cakes, and grasshopper pies, and Key Lime Pie (mint brownies are big in the Midwest).

  1. Green Savory dishes:

Green spaghetti, pesto, pea soup (that’s a HARD pass), Green deviled eggs, and of course, Green eggs and ham.

The most-googled St. Patrick’s Day recipes in general were corned beef and cabbage, grasshopper pie, Dublin coddle (a sausage-and-potato stew), Irish soda bread scones, and Irish potato candy.

The most-googled drink recipes were grasshoppers, Jell-O shots, green punch, whiskey sours, and recipes for Baileys Irish Cream.)
