Stats and Facts for the Fourth of July

Here are a few July 4th stats and facts you may not be aware of . . .

The Farm Bureau says the average cookout will cost $6.77 per person, down slightly from last year.

To avoid fires, the U.S. Forestry Service asked people to ditch fireworks and use Silly String instead (???).

StudyFinds.com ranked the best types of fireworks, the big rocket-style ones you see at displays got the top spot (because DUH, they’re obviously the best). Somehow, sparklers came in 3rd?

Finally, how about our fave 4TH of July FOODS? Turns out grilled corn on the cob, smoked brisket and ribs hit the spot. BUT a surprising number of staples may be losing popularity . . . 33% of us say we hate potato salad, 34% say no to coleslaw, and 28% wouldn’t touch a deviled egg.
