Thinking about a fresh start? A new ranking from Consumer Affairs looked at all 50 states, to see which one was the best to move to in 2026. They scored them on affordability, Safety, Education, Healthcare, Economic strength, and overall quality of life. Here are the Top Five states to move to in 2026: #1 New Hampshire (with a score of 68.51), #2 Utah, #3 Idaho, #4 Virginia, and #5 Maine. The Worst Five states to move to in 2026 are: #50 New Mexico (with a score of 28.99), #49 Louisiana, #48 California, #47 Arkansas, and #46 Oklahoma. OHIO was ranked 27th, with a score of 50.72. A pretty good sign you picked the wrong state to move to . . . the welcome center says, “Are you sure?”
