The World Cup Starts Today, Most Americans Don’t Care

The World Cup kicks off today, and even though most of the games will be played in the U.S., most Americans DON’T CARE (the rest of the games will be in Mexico and Canada). According to a new poll, 54% of Americans are NOT AT ALL INTERESTED in the tournament, another 14% are “not very interested”, while 13% say they’re VERY INTERESTED. Also, 72% of U.S. soccer fans say they would bet against Team U.S.A. if they thought they could win money. So basically, we host the tournament, build the stadiums, sell the hot dogs, and then spend the whole event asking, “Wait, who’s playing again?”
