Things to Look Forward to in May
We made it to another month! So here’s a few things to look forward to in May . . .
IN SPORTS:
- The NBA and NHL playoffs continue.
- The Kentucky Derby is Saturday . . .
- Then the Preakness on May 17th.
- The PGA Championship starts May 15th.
- The Indy 500 is May 25th (the French Open starts the same day).
IN MOVIES:
- The latest from the Marvel Universe, “Thunderbolts” hits theaters tomorrow (a group of antiheroes, caught in a deadly trap and forced to work together on a dangerous mission).
- The Alec Baldwin western “Rust”, more than three years after the tragic on-set shooting (they’re also doing a video-on-demand release of “Rust” the same day).
- Also, “Friendship” with Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd opens this month . . .
- And “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” lands May 23rd,
- Along with the new live-action “Lilo & Stitch”.
ON TV:
- The ACM Awards are next Thursday.
- Season five of “Lego Masters” hits Fox on the 19th.
- Season eight of “Big Mouth” lands May 23rd.
- Season eight of “Rick and Morty” starts the 25th.
- The American Music Awards are the 26th on CBS.
- And season 20 of “America’s Got Talent” premieres on NBC May 27th.
And finally, THE HOLIDAYS:
The big ones are . . .
- Cinco de Mayo on Monday.
- Mother’s Day on the 11th.
- And Memorial Day on the 26th.

- Star Wars Day is “May the Fourth”.
- National Teachers’ Day is the 6th.
