It’s time for the first “This Week In Science” of 2025 . . . Killer whales have been wearing dead salmon as hats (???). No one’s sure why, but it was also a thing they did for a while back in 1987. Whale experts say they sometimes adopt “fads” just like us, and for no real reason. They might just see other whales doing it, and it catches on.
