Today Is “National Regifting Day”
If you’re looking to unload that scarf you got as a gift last year and haven’t worn, here’s your excuse . . . HAPPY NATIONAL REGIFTING DAY! It’s supposed to encourage us to give away gifts we don’t really want. A new poll found most Americans think regifting is acceptable. 61% said it’s at least “somewhat” okay (including 22% who said it’s totally fine). Regifts ranked lower than USED gifts though. 64% think secondhand gifts are okay. It just depends on what it is. A leather-bound first edition of their favorite book? Great gift. Used socks? Not so great. The poll also found 6% of us will go SNOOPING for gifts this month, to try to get a sneak peek at what we’re getting.
