Which Generation with the Biggest Sweet Tooth?

There’s a new survey out on sweets, and overall, 81% of us consider ourselves “sweet treat people”. Meaning we gravitate toward sugary treats rather than savory ones. And the generation with the biggest “sweet tooth” is . . . Gen Z (people born between 1997–2012). 86% of Gen Z’ers say they’re sweet treat people, and 72% of those people say they “need 1 to 6 servings of sweets every single day.” (By comparison, only 57% of Boomers, born between 1946–1964, consider themselves sweet treat people.) Of course, younger adults are more likely to be able to handle sugary diets with fewer consequences. 37% of us say eating sweet treats is “one of their top sources of happiness.” And the Top 5 Favorite Sweets are:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Cookies (61%) . . .
