Woman Wins Cheese Rolling Race . . . Despite Being Knocked Out

A woman won the annual Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake race yesterday . . . a 19-year-old Canadian named Delaney Irving won the women’s race, despite falling and being knocked unconscious on her way down, and rolling across the finish line. The Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake is an annual event in England, where people race down a VERY steep, 200-yard-long hill chasing a wheel of Double Gloucester cheese. She said she was told that she won after she woke up in the medical tent.
