City Of Findlay Capital Improvement Plan

The City of Findlay has released a draft of its Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal years 2026 – 2035.

The plan shows that 2026 Capital Project totals come to around $20 million, with the bulk of that total – $16,481,325.66 – going to infrastructure projects.

$1,849,000.00 is allocated to equipment, while $828,000 is for facilities, and $897,319.80 for debt.

Each year, the city develops a ten-year planning document for future capital projects.

The plan is presented to Council for approval and used by the Engineering Department to coordinate and administer the projects.

Some examples of capital improvement projects include, but are not limited to, the purchase of major equipment, improvements to street lighting, street and highway improvements, land acquisition, recreational trail improvements, facility improvements, building construction, and improvements to various public utilities systems throughout the city.
