Family Displaced By Fire In Liberty Township

(From the Liberty Township Fire Department)

Tuesday evening at 2331 hours, the Liberty Township Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on Potomac Drive.

Upon arrival, heavy flames were observed emanating from the attached garage.

Through collaborative efforts with the Blanchard Township Fire Department and Allen Township Fire Department, the fire was promptly extinguished, and extension to adjacent units was prevented.

The Liberty Township Fire Department extends its appreciation to Hanco EMS, Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, and the Red Cross for their assistance.

While the displaced family faces a difficult situation, we are pleased to report that both family cats were rescued and reunited with their owners.

The cause of the fire is currently undergoing investigation.
