Findlay Awarded Grant For Urban Prairie Project To Help Flood Mitigation

The City of Findlay is one of nine cities to be awarded a grant as part of the 2026 Healthy and Sustainable Communities Awards.

Findlay was awarded $150,000 for an Urban Prairie Pilot Project to help with flood mitigation.

The city said it’s incredibly grateful for the $150,000 grant to complete the urban prairie project.

“This is going to be a great improvement on under-utilized land, and with this grant we will be able to turn it into a beautiful community amenity,” said Mayor Muryn.

The project will be located on East Main Cross Street between South Blanchard Street and Osborn Avenue.
