Flag City Night Out Coming Up

Grab the kids, invite your neighbors and join us for one of Findlay’s favorite summer traditions! Flag City Night Out returns to Riverside Park on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m., for an evening dedicated to strengthening relationships between first responders and the community through fun, food and family-friendly activities. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Tuesday, August 11.
Hosted by the City of Findlay and supported by dozens of community organizations, Flag City Night Out has become a beloved annual tradition where families can meet local police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel and community partners in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Best of all, the event is completely free thanks to the generous support of local businesses and organizations. Families are encouraged to “leave your wallet at home” and simply enjoy the evening together.
Immediately following the opening ceremonies, the Cops & Kids Mascot Olympics, presented by the Fort Findlay FOP Lodge #20 Foundation, will once again take center stage.
Area mascots will compete head-to-head in a series of hilarious games and challenges as they battle for mascot bragging rights. Whether you’re cheering for a returning favorite or meeting a mascot for the very first time, the Mascot Olympics promise plenty of laughter and unforgettable moments for children and adults alike.
“Our Foundation exists to build positive relationships between youth and law enforcement, and the Mascot Olympics capture that mission perfectly,” said Teresa White, Executive Director of the Fort Findlay FOP Lodge #20 Foundation. “There’s something special about watching children laugh alongside police officers, firefighters and community mascots. Those shared moments build trust, create memories and remind us that we’re all part of the same community.”
Officer Brian White of the Findlay Police Department, who coordinates Flag City Night Out, said the evening continues to grow because of the partnerships that make it possible.
“Flag City Night Out is one of my favorite events each year because it brings our entire community together,” White said. “Whether you’re visiting the many activity stations, meeting first responders, exploring community resources or cheering during the Mascot Olympics, there’s something for every member of the family. We encourage everyone to arrive in time for the opening ceremonies so they don’t miss one of the most entertaining parts of the evening.”
Families are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy the opening ceremonies at 6:00 p.m., stay for the Mascot Olympics immediately afterward, and spend the rest of the evening exploring everything Flag City Night Out has to offer.
