Missing Girl Located, Circumstances Remain Under Investigation

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office investigated a missing juvenile complaint that began on May 28, 2026, at approximately 2225 hours.

A 14-year-old female juvenile was reported missing by her mother after the juvenile failed to arrive home after being last seen walking on Road 11 in Ottawa Township, Putnam County, at approximately 2125 hours.

An extensive overnight search operation was conducted involving numerous agencies and volunteers.

The juvenile was safely located in Miller City, Putnam County, Ohio at approximately 0648 hours on May 29, 2026.

The juvenile was evaluated at the scene by Putnam County EMS and was found to be in good health.

The circumstances regarding the juvenile’s whereabouts throughout the night remain under investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Assisting agencies included the Putnam County EMA, Putnam County EMS, Allen County EMA, Hancock County EMA, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Putnam County Special Response Team, Dale Schulte and crew, and the Ottawa Fire Department.
