Police Department Recognizes Personnel For Their Contributions

(From Tiffin Police Chief David Pauly)

At the Tiffin Police Department, we value dedication, consistency, and leadership, qualities that ensure our team is always ready to serve the community. Tonight, I’m proud to recognize the folks who exemplify these values in extraordinary ways.

Perfect Attendance Award:

Consistency and reliability are crucial in law enforcement, and these officers have shown up day after day, ready to serve:

Sergeant Jared Watson – 6th Perfect Attendance Award

Detective Marcus Somers – 3rd Perfect Attendance Award

Officer Alec Traxler – 2nd Perfect Attendance Award

Officer Michael Moore – an amazing 13th Perfect Attendance Award

Leadership Award: Sergeant Joe Feld

True leadership is about stepping up when it matters most. Sergeant Feld identified a critical gap in the tracking and submission of mandatory professional training hours. Sgt. Feld took ownership, and ensured compliance protecting our officers’ certifications and safeguarding public safety. Beyond this, he consistently mentors, guides, and inspires others through his professionalism and integrity.

Officer of the Year: Detective Marcus Somers

Detective Somers has distinguished himself through tireless dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service. His daily actions set a high standard for his peers and reflect positively on the Tiffin Police Department and the City of Tiffin. This is his first Officer of the Year Award, and it is thoroughly deserved.

Dispatcher of the Year: Patty McIntyre

Dispatcher Patty McIntyre is being recognized for the second time in three years for her exceptional work in the Communications Center. Her calm under pressure, attention to detail, and dedication ensure that officers and the community receive the highest level of support every day.

Civilian Employee of the Year: Beth Dell

It is my honor to recognize Beth Dell as our Civilian Employee of the Year. Beth wears many hats at the department including as evidence custodian, administrative professional for the Criminal Division, and leader of our recruitment efforts across the state. What truly sets Beth apart is the pace, passion, and heart she brings to everything she does.

Please join me in congratulating all of our 2025 award winners for their outstanding contributions to the Tiffin Police Department and the community we serve. Your dedication, leadership, and consistency inspire us all.
