Sheriff’s Office Recognizes National Corrections Officer Week
(From the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office)
During National Corrections Week, we pause to recognize and honor the dedicated men and women who serve behind the walls of our correctional facility each day. Our corrections officers make sacrifices that often go unseen, working long hours in a demanding environment to maintain safety, order, and security for our staff, inmates, and community.
Their work requires professionalism, strength, patience, and unwavering commitment. They face challenges that many will never fully see or understand, yet they continue to serve with courage and dedication.
We are deeply grateful for the sacrifice, service, and professionalism of our corrections officers and all corrections staff. Thank you for the important work you do, for the commitment you show, and for the role you play in supporting the mission of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Please join us in showing appreciation and gratitude to all corrections professionals during National Corrections Week.
