Spring Request-A-Tree Program Accepting Requests

The Findlay Shade Tree Commission’s Spring 2026 Request-A-Tree program is accepting requests until Monday, March 30!

REQUEST-A-TREE

Residents within City of Findlay limits may request a tree on the City’s website for a total cost of $25.

A member of the Shade Tree Commission will work with you to determine the best location and species for your property and provide you with the information to make sure your tree grows healthy and strong! This is an annual program.

URBAN FORESTRY GRANT

The City of Findlay earned a grant from the Ohio Urban Forestry Grant Program. The grant provides funds to hire a part-time Urban Forester who will establish an urban forest management plan, develop aplanting plan, develop a risk assessment plan for trees and a tree removal and pruning schedule, and train our employees on best practices.

This grant allows us to ensure we are taking care of Findlay’s tree canopy for generations to come! The remaining grant dollars will be used to plant close to 300 trees in our community!
