Police Warn Parents About Apple Name Drop Feature

The recent software update introduced Name Drop to iPhones and Apple Watches.

Several police departments across the country are warning parents about the potential security risk for children. 

Once the software is downloaded, the feature is on by default, so anyone could steal information without knowing. 

To turn the feature off, go to “Settings,” “General,” “AirDrop,” “Bringing Devices Together,” and then switch to “OFF.
