Police Warn Parents About Apple Name Drop Feature
One of Apple’s latest tricks is causing some concern.
The recent software update introduced Name Drop to iPhones and Apple Watches.
The feature makes it possible for iPhone and Watch users to share contact information by “tapping” devices close together. 
Several police departments across the country are warning parents about the potential security risk for children.
Once the software is downloaded, the feature is on by default, so anyone could steal information without knowing.
To turn the feature off, go to “Settings,” “General,” “AirDrop,” “Bringing Devices Together,” and then switch to “OFF.
