A 3-year-old in North Carolina couldn’t wait to start unwrapping presents on Christmas morning, so he did it before the family woke up!

On Monday, Scott Reintgen revealed on X that his “three-year-old came down at 3 am and unwrapped EVERYONE’S presents.”

He posted a pic of the shredded wrapping paper and opened gifts. He later posted a video explaining things.

“Just adding his explanation for why he opened everything!,” he captioned the clip. “Also have to add: we’re not mad. He’s a good kid, and it’s a story we’ll tell for the rest of our lives.”

“Honestly, I couldn’t believe he would actually open all of the presents,” Scott tells TODAY.com. “It was just so shocking that you had to laugh at how ridiculous it sounded. Like you’re living out a scene in a movie or on candid camera.”

Scott and his wife Katie have three children, ages 6, 3, and 1.
