The Adams County, Pennsylvania SPCA is calling it a “true miracle”; their animal shelter was empty for the first time in 47 years just days before Christmas.

The shelter shared on Facebook, “Two weeks ago, our kennels were almost filled, now we don’t have any dogs in the building at all,” as volunteers posed with a hall of empty enclosures.

The shelter has sent nearly 600 pets to loving homes in 2023.
