Good News:
Here’s a Good News Story as we head into a long holiday weekend (and no, that’s not the good news . . . but it’s not bad). This happened last Friday night, a high school football ref in Alabama Is being hailed a hero, for doing CPR and saving another referee, who had collapsed in the middle of a game! The official had just placed the ball at the 25-yard line when he dropped to the ground and stopped moving. Another ref, Lew Murphy, immediately ran to him and started chest compressions. The fallen ref ended up having to be resuscitated twice, but he pulled through. He told a reporter he remembers feeling lightheaded after he put the ball down, then nothing. He says Lew is the only reason he’s alive. (Here’s the footage, it happens at 1:13:54)
