Teens have a new saying you should know about!

The Kids are Saying ‘GYAT’: What Does It Even Mean?

What happened to the days of saying she’s a peach?

GYAT is the new slang teens are saying and here’s what it means.

According to Bark, an online monitoring company that tracks teenage slang, GYAT (which rhymes with “squat” or “bought,” depending on your pronunciation of the “g”), can be an acronym for “Girl Your A** Thicc” .”Gyatt Sticker

Urban Dictionary explains that “GYAT” is used when complimenting someone with a curvaceous body, while “GYATT” (spelled with two Ts) describes a man or woman with a large butt.

Over on TikTok, “Slangman,” aka David Burke, says GYAT is the number one slang used by teens and is not an insult.

“If someone says, “Wow you have a GYAT” it doesn’t mean, “You have a big butt,” he explains. “It means you have a big beautiful butt.”

David Burke went on to say that parents should not say GYAT.

“If parents start using GYAT, teens will stop,” he says.https://www.tiktok.com/@slangmandavidburke/video/7249168269955829038
