Fired SpaceX Workers Sue Elon Musk

Several fired SpaceX employees are suing founder Elon Musk, saying his company fostered a sexist “dark ages” culture.

They say they were canned after penning an open letter with their concerns that urged SpaceX’s board to distance itself from Musk.

The filing reads, “Elon Musk trumpets SpaceX as the leader to a brave new world of space travel but runs his company in the Dark Ages — treating women as sexual objects to be evaluated on their bra size, bombarding the workplace with lewd sexual banter, and offering the reprise to those who challenge the ‘Animal House’ environment that if they don’t like it they can seek employment elsewhere.”

Musk’s being sued for sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

Lawyers for the former employees claim that Musk believes that he “is above the law.”
