A Taco Bell employee got into a shootout with an armed robber. 

The incident happened Monday at a Taco Bell restaurant just outside of Akron, Ohio.

The thief opened fire on the worker, and the employee returned the favor, shooting and injuring the robber. We are unsure if the employee was on the clock when the gunfire started. 

Taco Bell issued a statement saying, “We are shocked to hear that this happened. The franchise owner and operator of this location has informed us that they are working with the local authorities in their investigation and that they will be offering support to all team members present.”
