When you arrive at your vacation destination, you’ll be ready for Instagram glory with your smartphone. But some of the most important photos should be taken before you arrive.

Travel experts say you should snap a pic of everything — from documents to travel friends — and back those photos to a cloud-based service that can retrieved from any computer.

Snap photos of your car, your license plate, your parking space, your parking deck/section sign, the boarding pass, your passport, your luggage and its airline tags, the contents of your luggage, your kids, and, yes, even your spouse.
