Cat Hides From Vet… Inside a Recliner

Firefighters Rescue Cat Stuck Inside Recliner While Avoiding Vet Visit

Some pets hide under the couch when it’s time to go to the vet.

One orange-and-white cat in Kansas took things to a whole new level.

The determined feline wedged itself deep inside a mechanical recliner while trying to avoid a scheduled checkup, leaving its owner unable to reach it — or even see exactly where it was stuck.

That’s when police, animal control, and eventually firefighters were called to the home in Overland Park.

Using careful teamwork (and a power saw), first responders partially dismantled the heavy chair to safely free the trapped cat. Thankfully, the furry escape artist was completely uninjured after the rescue.

Authorities later joked online that the cat still had “eight lives left,” and yes… it still ended up heading to its appointment afterward. 🐾

Honestly, that’s commitment to avoiding Monday responsibilities on a level most of us respect.

Not every pet rescue was this dramatic — one dog actually walked into a police station asking for help. https://1063thefox.com/highlighted/114173/
