That’s 29 tons of tainted corn dogs…
58 Million Pounds Of Corn Dogs Recalled
An estimated 58 million corndogs and sausage-on-a-stick products are being recalled due to potential contamination with wood pieces, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Hillshire Brands Company says the wooden sticks entered the production process before battering, leading to the possible presence of wood chips embedded in the batter.
Five people have reported sustaining injuries from consuming the contaminated products.
The affected products were packed between March and September of this year and bear the establishment numbers “EST-582” or “P-894” on the packaging. They were distributed nationwide, including online, in-stores, schools, and Department of Defense facilities.
Consumers are advised not to eat the products and should either dispose of them or return them.
Individuals concerned about potential injuries should seek medical attention, and inquiries about the recall can be directed to Christina Self, The Hillshire Brands Company Associate Director of Customer Care, at 888-747-7611.
