The economic crunch is real.

Nearly A Quarter of Americans Are Living Paycheck to Paycheck

Nearly a quarter of American households are living paycheck to paycheck.

According to a new study, 24 percent of Americans are experiencing slow wage growth, which is contributing to an increase in households with limited savings.

Middle-aged households bear the brunt of rising costs, with the number of middle-aged households living paycheck to paycheck increasing compared to other generations.

Higher-income millennial households saw their average wages grow faster than those of lower-income households in the same generation, enabling them to absorb inflation better.

The number of households living paycheck to paycheck increased in the Northeast and Midwest but decreased in the South and West, driven by lower inflation rates.
