AAA predicts a record-setting 81.8 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home for Thanksgiving.

At least 73 million travelers plan to drive to their locations. 

AAA expects 6.1 million Americans will fly during Thanksgiving week.

Stacey Barber, Vice President of AAA Travel, said, “Thanksgiving travel numbers are always impressive because this holiday has become synonymous with heading out of town to spend time with loved ones.”

The Thanksgiving travel season begins on Tuesday, November 25th, and goes to Monday, December 1st.
