From The Desk of The President of the Hot Dog Council . . .

If you put ketchup on your hot dogs yesterday, the president of the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council would like a word (and yes, it’s a real thing, and he’s a real guy). In an interview for the Fourth, Eric Mittenthal told “Fox News” that no one over the age of 18 should be putting ketchup on hot dogs. He said, “If you can vote, it’s time for your taste buds to vote for a hot dog without ketchup.” He added “the sweetness is just not the ideal match,” and suggested mustard, onions, and sauerkraut instead. If you disagree, you’re not alone. A poll for the Fourth asked people what’s better on a dog, ketchup or mustard?
33% said mustard . . .
25% said ketchup . . .
And 32% like both equally.
