Iowa Now Has a Zero-Tolerance Policy Towards “TP-ing”

The town of Jesup, Iowa has announced that it has BANNED “TP-ing” . . . which they’ve defined as, “Using toilet paper to decorate homes, trees, or other structures”. They say there’s now a “zero-tolerance policy”. Perpetrators will be arrested and charged with things like trespassing, criminal mischief, illegal dumping, and disorderly conduct. Those sentenced will be looking at fines and community service. And the Jesup police know you may THINK this is a little over the top. But they say, “This may seem extreme to some, but this happens year after year. And to the same persons, we have to draw the line. We cannot watch every residence for every minute in town [every] night.”
