Is This The Perfect S’More?

There’s going to be a lot of backyard campfires this weekend. Which also means it’s a great weekend to “get your S’more on”. Camp Kupugani, a kids summer camp came up with what they’re calling “The Most Perfect Way To Make A S’more”. They broke it down to 4 key factors. . .

  1. THE ROASTING TECHNIQUE: They found that the ideal roasting time is exactly 2 minutes and 37 seconds over medium heat.
  2. THE CHOCOLATE: Traditional milk chocolate works fine, but they claim dark chocolate gives it an extra punch. They suggest using one that’s about 70% cocoa (and it should be softened by the fire just before sandwiching it).
  3. THE GRAHAM CRACKER: A slightly honey-flavored graham cracker tastes the best, and should be warmed for 12 seconds on each side before assembly to enhance the texture and flavor profile.
  4. THE RATIO: The perfect s’more will have a ratio that’s two parts graham cracker, three parts marshmallow, and one part chocolate.
