Stupid Criminal Story: Guy Locks Himself Inside Someone’s Van

Some attempted “crimes” just NEED to be caught on camera, and thankfully this one was! A 26-year-old guy in Florida, drove up and noticed a landscaping van parked along the street. He got out of his vehicle, walked up to it, and climbed in the back . . . and then he somehow got locked inside. The guy realized he was trapped and FREAKED. He started screaming for help, banging on the doors, saying he couldn’t breathe. Someone called the police, and they got the guy out. (The landscaper didn’t want to unlock the van until the police got there, because there were sharp tools inside, include machetes.) The guy told the cops he wasn’t a thief, that he was out handing out business cards, when a dog started chasing him, so he jumped into the van for safety. But that didn’t fly, because a security camera caught the WHOLE THING. He was arrested for burglary and criminal mischief.
