Thanksgiving Good News, Bad News:

The American Farm Bureau Federation annual report is out, and they say the average Thanksgiving meal will cost $6.12 per person this year. The total cost for a Thanksgiving meal for 10 this year is $61.17, surprisingly, down from $64.05 last year (but it’s still 25% higher than it was pre-pandemic). And here’s a reality check, back in 1986, the average Thanksgiving meal cost $2.87 a person. But if you adjust for inflation, that’s over $8 in today’s money (maybe $6.12 isn’t that bad). As always, the most expensive item is the turkey, at just over $27 for a 16-pound bird.
