Who DOESN’T Want A Fluffier Biscuit?
A chef posted a video, sharing his favorite cooking hacks from a lifetime in the restaurant industry. The video has 13 million views on YouTube, so he must be doing something right. Here are a few of his best tips:
- If you wash your produce with vinegar, it’ll last longer. (Mix is three parts water, one part vinegar, and then let them sit for a couple minutes.)
- Before adding fresh herbs to a dish, give them a strong squeeze beforehand. (This “bruising” releases twice as much flavor.)
- Use a potato masher to break up all the big chunks of your ground beef. (It works a lot better than a spoon or fork.)
- Put soft cheeses like mozzarella or gouda in the freezer for 15 to 30 minutes before grating them.
- If you want to make fluffier biscuits, use bigger chunks of butter.
