You May Want To Remove Your Hat For This One . . .

The only way this could be more “on brand”, is if it happened on the Fourth of July. A cop named “Merica”, hitched a ride in the bed of a Ford pick-up truck, to catch a thief last weekend. The Lynnwood Police didn’t mention his first name, just “Officer Merica”. He spotted a bike thief and chased after the guy, on foot. Luckily, a random person in a Ford pick-up saw it happening, pulled over, let Officer Merica hop on the back bumper, and they chased the guy down together. Turns out the guy had several outstanding warrants. Lynnwood Police shared the chest-cam footage on Facebook. I’m not sure if I should applaud . . . or salute? (Here’s a photo of Officer Merica, he’s the one on the left.)
