Bomb Squad Responds To Investigate Suspicious Object

A suspicious device shut down a gas station in Findlay and closed a portion of a road.

An employee at the S&G gas station at Trenton Avenue and Broad Avenue in Findlay found a suspicious device, that was possibly an explosive, outside the building around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon and the Allen County Bomb Squad was called in to check it out.

The gas station was closed during the investigation, as was the Cancun restaurant next door.

Broad Avenue was closed just north of Trenton Avenue during the investigation.

In the videos below you can see a member of the bomb squad gearing up and then approaching the device.

The object, which looked like a Claymore mine, was quickly determined to be non-explosive.
