How CRAZY is THIS? Here’s another reason I’m glad I don’t live in California . . . Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold will actually LOSE money on this year’s Super Bowl game. Players on the winning Super Bowl team get $178,000 from the NFL, and because it was played in California, they have a “jock tax”. It’s an additional tax on out-of-state players based on how many “duty days” they spend in the state for a game, in Darnold’s case, he’ll be charged for at least eight days. Based on his contract with the Seahawks (which includes a $2.5 million bonus for winning it all), he’ll pay between $200,000 and $250,000 to the state.
